On the track to nowhere –
Speed of light.
Life fleets unaware,
Out of sight.
Same sound in my ear,
Same image in mind.
Awaiting to hear…
From you. So unkind
In contempt.
Circle turning to square
Each day’s fight.
Run and hide if you dare.
I will find
In the sands’ fleeting time,
The foam of the sea
In the curse of a rhyme
Twin obsessions blaze free,
Un-exempt.
Sighs can no longer find
A respite.
To the past I gaze blind,
Cut in flight.
Same scent in the air,
Same lusts’ raising thrust.
A short-lived affair
Misspent lovers’ trust
In attempt.

You are the Mistress of Cadence, especially with the punctuated pauses. You aren’t wearing thigh-high black leather boots, by any chance?
Sorry. *sends himself to the penalty box*
Mistress of Cadence? That’s a new one. Thank you, navigator.
Hope you’re having a good time in the penalty box 😉
I tend to live here on occasion.
I see. And does this occasion come often?
More often than I would prefer, historically.
hehe 😉
beautiful.
Thank you, TwinCentaur. I had to dig deep for this one.
