About this image: A street artist in York, taking his puppy for a ride around town on a rather windy day (or so he would have you believe).
Life can be that way at times: pedalling along at full speed, only to realise you’re standing still. See, I did promise you some blues, but I hope you take away the cheery purples instead.
The faster you go, the stronger the headwind. : )
That is some head wind, Johnny π both literally and metaphorically.
I used to take spinning classes at the gym. A fellow member said that her 3 year old daughter kept asking why she would bike to nowhere. π
Spinning classes are the most painful experience I’ve ever had in a gym, and I tend to agree with that little girl π
You’ve said it all, the pedalling and life leading nowhere. Liked the sentence “pedalling along at full speed, only to realise youβre standing still.”
Thank you, Norma. It is a little bitter-sweet this post. I suppose we can’t always choose where our reflections take us.
So true.:)
Well, I have two reactions. 1) Call the humane society. That poor puppy is obviously distressed and needs to be taken from any person that would keep her out in a basket in the rain. 2) Take the poor chap immediately into the York Medical Society for further diagnosis; he’s apparently attempting to escape hospitalization.
Oh, Susan, thank you. Your comment made me laugh. Just like you to be spreading cheer and sunshine. π
π
I love ‘Undercover Purples’ – gorgeous and funky street art, and as ever, wise words to accompany the image. π
I am always amazed by the imagination they put into their performance-pieces, although some of them are rather baffling. I wonder how does one come to be a street artist?
Thank you, Lee-Anne.
what the?!? π
He’s a curious one, isn’t he? π
