I wish to speak
Yet wordless, turn to stone…
Amongst so many,
In their pain – alone.
A feeble dream
Of unremembered youth
Too soon extinguished…
Specs of captured truth.

This one reminded me a little of an anecdote related by Stephen Fry: you may know it. It concerned a man who was suffering from depression who decided to commit suicide by throwing himself under a bus (could have been a tram). Anyway he only succeeded in completely shattering both of his legs. When asked afterwards about the pain he was suffering (from his terrible injuries) he replied that that was the reason that he had decided to kill himself.
Take care, Chris
I didn’t know that anecdote. Thank you for sharing, Chris. Fascinating where our minds will take us.
Hi Chris,
great (i.e. humbling in its simplicity and cutting to the issue) anecdote.
Just wonderful. Thank you, Kavalkade.
Great verse pulls you in, makes you think. This does that. Wonderful
Soon I will have a enough for a bound collection of your wonderful comments. Thank you so much, Erik.
